On Saturday 16th June, the Kings Summer Bournemouth Vacation Extra students took a daytrip to the town of Bath, located in southwest England.
Here we visited the Roman baths, the town's major tourist attraction. At the baths, students were able to explore the history of the site, go on an interactive tour of the building and even taste the water which was once believed to have healing properties.
Alongside this, students were also able to experience an hour-long walking tour of the town in order to view notable points — for example, the house that Jane Austen wrote 'Pride and Prejudice' in, and the famous Royal Crescent, which has been featured in a number of films!
Afterwards, students were given free time to explore the area for themselves; admiring local architecture, visiting shops and even eating at a nearby food festival. Overall, everybody had a great day experiencing beautiful Bath, and the culture it has to offer.
